Ingredients

  • 7 pt. water
  • 1 pt. vinegar
  • 1 c. salt
  • alum (optional)
  • 1 or 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 or 2 small onions
  • small hot pepper or horseradish
  • sprig of dill

Directions

    Heat water, vinegar and salt to boiling.

    After ingredients are added, pour the boiling liquid into the jars.
  3. 3
    Seal and place in sunshine for two weeks.
  4. 4
    If they (work out) spew, don't worry. Wipe jars and place in storage.
