  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
  • 1 12 cups sugar
  • 4 23 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided (28 ounces)
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • 4 eggs
  • 5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped macadamia nuts or 2 cups pecans, divided

Directions

    In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sugar.

    Remove from the heat; stir in 2 cups chocolate chips until melted.

    Pour into a mixing bowl; beat in water.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add vanilla.

    Combine flour, baking soda and salt; beat into the chocolate mixture until smooth.

    Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips and 1 cup of nuts.

    Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.

    Sprinkle with remaining chips and nuts.

    Bake at 325 F.
