- 12 cup boiling water
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 cup brown sugar (I use 1/2 cup)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-bran cereal
- 14 cup wheat germ
- 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Pour boiling water over raisins and allow to cool.

2Stir in eggs, sugar and buttermilk.

3Sift dry ingrdients.

4Add to above and mix well.

5Oven 350 45-50 minutes.
