- 24 mushrooms
- 34 lb crabmeat
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
- onion, minced
- Tabasco sauce, to taste
- celery, finely chopped
- 12 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- salt
Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350F

2Remove stems from the mushrooms.

3Wipe the caps clean.

4Arrange the caps, upside down, in single layer in a baking dish, preferably glass.

5Rinse and finely chop the stems.

6In a mixing bowl, combine chopped stems with crab, onions, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Tabasco.

7Add a little celery or garlic if desired.

8Salt to taste.

9Fill each mushroom cap with some of the mixture.

10Add enough water to cover the bottom of the baking dish.

11Sprinkle each cap with Parmesan cheese.

12Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are hot through and the cheese has browned.
