- 2-1/3 cups Sugar
- 2/3 cups Karo/Corn Syrup
- 1/2 cups Water
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 Egg Whites
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
Directions

1Heat sugar, syrup, water, and salt. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Boil without stirring, to a very firm ball. Beat egg whites. Pour egg whites into the hot syrup in a thin stream. Beat constantly. Beat until it holds its shape when dropped from a spoon. Add vanilla and very gently fold in nuts if using. Drop on wax paper. Let cool.
