- 8 ounces self raising flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 5 ounces soft brown sugar
- 2 ounces chopped walnuts
- 4 ounces grated young carrots
- 2 ripe mashed bananas
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 pint vegetable oil
- 3 ounces butter
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 6 ounces icing sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions

1heat oven to gas 4, 180c.

2sieve flour and baking powder into a large bowl and stir in sugar.

3add nuts, carrots, and bananas and stir lightly.

4make a well in the centre and add eggs and oil and beat together.

5grease and line a 8 inch tin and add mixture.

6bake for 75 mins untill golden brown, take out of tin and leave to cool.

7beat together the butter,cream cheese,icing sugar and vanilla and spread over the cooled cake.
