- 6 pork chops (1/4-inch)
- paprika
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 envelope dry onion soup
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 (3 oz.) can chopped mushrooms, drained
Directions

1Season pork chops with paprika, salt and pepper.

2In skillet, brown chops on both sides in hot shortening.

3Drain off excess fat.

4Add 1 cup water, celery and soup mix.

5Cover and cook over low heat for 40 to 45 minutes or until chops are tender.

6Remove chops from skillet.

7Combine the flour, parsley and 1/4 cup cold water.

8Blend into pan juices.
-
9Add milk and mushrooms.

10Cook and stir over low heat until thickened and bubbly.

11Spoon gravy over chops.
