Ingredients

  • 2 # ground raw turkey
  • 1 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 1/2 c water
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp dried parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 16 oz cans red kidney beans, drained
  • 2 4 oz cans mushrooms stems and pieces
  • 1 14 1/2 oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

    Brown turkey, onion, garlic and drain drippings.

    Add water and remaining ingredients.

    Bring to boil and cover.

    Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.

    Uncover, simmer 1 hour.

    Stir from time to time.

    Discard bay leaf.

    Yield 10 1/2 cups.
