  • 5 to 6 tart apples
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • 3/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Fill 9-inch pie pan 2/3 full of peeled and sliced apples. Combine 1 tablespoon sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Mix together 1 cup sugar, flour, nuts, butter, vanilla and egg. Spoon this mixture over apples and pat down.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.

    Top with whipped cream to serve.
