- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
- 1 c. flour
- 1 egg white (unbeaten)
Directions

1Cream the butter and sugar well.

2Add slightly beaten egg yolk and then add flour.

3Mix until dough is formed.

4Roll in medium size balls.

5Dip them in egg white and roll in crushed walnuts or pecans.

6Press down centers with finger.

7Bake for 5 minutes in a 325° oven.

8Remove from oven and press down again.

9Replace in oven and bake from 10 to 15 minutes.

10When cool, fill with jam.
