- 1 c. all purpose flour
- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3-1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
Directions

1Heat oven to about 375 degrees.

2Spray or grease round cake pan.

3In bowl, mix flour, corn meal, sugar, salt and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk and vegetable oil.

4Mix well.

5Pour batter into cake pan.

6Bake for about 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

7Serve hot with butter on top or just plain.
