- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. oil or shortening
- 1/2 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt into a large mixing bowl.

3Mix in the oil or cut in the shortening.

4Add the milk and mix well.

5The dough should be easy to handle.

6Turn out onto a floured surface, flour your hands and gently knead dough to form a smooth ball.

7Flatten the dough with your hands and roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.

8Cut with a biscuit cutter and place on a greased cookie sheet.

9Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
