- cucumbers
- 1 Tbsp. pickling spices
- 1 Tbsp. pickling salt
- 1/2 tsp. alum
- 1 c. vinegar
- 2 c. sugar
Directions

1Wash cucumbers and pack tightly in quart jar.

2To each jar, add remaining ingredients (except sugar).

3Fill jar with cold water.

4Seal tightly (it will not spoil).

5Let set 6 months or more.

6Rinse and cut in slices.

7Add sugar to each quart; stir to dissolve.

8I use a Foley utensil.
-
9This makes its own juice.

10Let set on counter a couple days, then refrigerate.

11Can be used in a couple days.
