  • 1 (32 oz.) jar whole kosher dill pickles
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
  • 12 whole cloves

Directions

    Drain pickles in colander and wash well.
  2. 2
    Mix sugar, vinegar and spices and put back in jar.
  3. 3
    Cut up pickles in finger size pieces and put back in jar.
  4. 4
    Invert jar 2 or 3 times a day until sugar has melted and then store in refrigerator.

    Good with soup or sandwiches.
