  • 1 gal. whole dill pickles
  • 4 lb. sugar

Directions

    Drain all of liquid from pickles.

    Slice pickles in thick slices and layer in gallon jar, alternating layers of pickles and sugar.

    Set jar on plate in refrigerator for three weeks.
  4. 4
    Turn jar upside down every three days.
