Sweet Potatoes With Pineapple

  • 6 medium sweet potatoes (may use canned)
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar (dark)
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 (No. 2) can sliced pineapple
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. raisins

Directions

    Boil potatoes; slice into pieces.

    Place a layer of sweet potatoes in a buttered casserole.

    Cover with a layer of pineapple slices.

    Repeat layers to top.

    Sprinkle top of casserole with remaining ingredients.

    Cook for 1 hour at 350°.

    Great with ham, but good with barbecue for a change.
