  • 3 cans French-style green beans, drained
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. grated onion
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated

    Heat green beans and drain.

    Pour beans in 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

    In saucepan, melt butter.

    Stir in flour, salt, pepper, sugar and onion.

    Gradually add sour cream.

    Stir until thickened. Pour over beans.

    Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

    Bake for 25 minutes at 350°.
