  • 1 lb. ham hocks or meaty ham bone
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. half and half
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded process Swiss cheese
  • dash of pepper

Directions

    Cook ham hocks in water 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender and falls off bone.

    Drain, reserving 1 1/2 cups broth.

    Let ham cool.

    Dice and set aside.
