- 2 Tbsp. grated Swiss cheese
- 2 slices bacon
- 3 c. chopped onion
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. light cream
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell
Directions

1Fry bacon until crisp.

2Remove from pan.

3Add onion; cook until transparent.

5Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

6Add salt; stir in cream.

7Pour into pastry shell.

8Sprinkle with grated cheese; dot with butter.

9Bake in moderate oven (350°) for 30 minutes, or until firm (test with knife as you would for baked custard).
