Ingredients
- 4 lb. pot roast
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 3 sliced onions
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 whole cloves
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 c. apple juice
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. water

1Brown roast in oil

4Add mushrooms, onions and spices. Place

6on oven and bake for 1 hour with 6 coals below

7and 12 coals above.

8At the end of 1 hour add the apple juice and turn meat. Bake for an additional 2 1/2

9hours. When

10done remove everything from the oven except the juice. Pour

11milk into juice.

12Mix flour and water and stir into Dutch oven.

13Heat to boiling (3 to 5 minutes) to thicken gravy.
