- 2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
Directions

1Cut steak into 6 to 8 pieces.

2Mix flour, salt and pepper. Pound into meat with meat hammer or knife.

3Brown meat in hot oil, turning once.

4Reduce heat.

5Add tomatoes, sugar, celery and onions.

6Bring to simmer.

7Cover and cook until tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.

8Arrange meat and sauce in shallow, covered casserole. Heat about 20 minutes.
