- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 lb. round steak, 1 1/2-inches thick
- 4 tsp. oil
- 1 peeled medium onion, sliced in rings
- 1 (12 oz.) can vegetable juice cocktail
Directions

1Dredge meat in flour, salt and pepper. Saute meat in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.

2Add onions and juice.

3Cover and simmer about 2 hours or until tender or bake in moderate oven at 350° for about 2 hours.

4Thicken gravy as desired.
