Ingredients
- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 6 qt. popped corn
Directions

1Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.

2Boil rapidly for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

3Remove from heat.

4Stir in baking soda thoroughly and quickly.

5Pour at once over popped corn in large (I use disposable) roasting pan.

6Stir gently until all kernels are coated.

7Bake at 200° for 1 hour.

8Stir 2 to 3 times during baking. Turn at once on wax paper, spread apart and cool.

9Store in tightly covered container.
