- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 15 oz. can red kidney beans, drained
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 15 oz. pkg. (12) taco shells
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 small head lettuce, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
Directions

1Brown meat and onions.

2Stir in sauce, beans, chili powder, salt and pepper.

3Break the taco shells in half at fold.

4Arrange on the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13-inch pan.

5Spoon mix over the taco shells.

6Sprinkle with cheese.

7Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.

8Top with shredded lettuce and tomatoes.
