  • 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
  • 12 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (15 ounce) can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 12 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (6 ounce) package corn muffin mix
  • 1 egg
  • 23 cup milk

Directions

    In a large skillet, brown ground beef and bell pepper in oil and drain well.

    Add salt, tomatoes, water, chili powder and garlic powder.

    Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes or until most of the liquid is gone.

    Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

    Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

    Combine corn muffin mix, egg, and milk and beat well.

    Pour this mixture over top of the cheese.

    Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until corn muffin mix is lightly brown.

    Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
