Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 pkg. (1 1/4 oz.) taco seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. coarsely crushed tortilla chips (about 2 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Colby cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Directions

    Brown ground beef with onions, garlic powder and green pepper in skillet, drain.

    Add seasoning mix and water to meat.

    Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 350°. Spread corn chips in bottom of 8 x 10-inch pan. Pour meat mixture over chips.

    Sprinkle cheeses on top.

    Bake in oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.

    Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
