Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • beans (black, kidney or refried), drain if needed
  • chopped tomato
  • green chilies
  • picante sauce (mild, medium or hot)
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • Monterey Jack cheese
  • Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Fry onion and beef.

    Drain as needed.

    Add beans, tomato, chilies and picante sauce.

    Keep liquid to a minimum.

    Stir while heating to warm.

    Place in bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan or serving dish.

    Cover mixture with sour cream.

    Layer cheeses on top to cover.

    Bake until hot and cheese melts.

    Serve with tortilla chips.
