  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 6 c. torn leaf lettuce
  • tortilla chips
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (about 1 c.)
  • 1 c. shredded cheese (4 oz.)

Directions

    In 10-inch skillet, over medium heat, cook beef and chili powder until browned and no longer pink, stirring to separate meat.

    Spoon off fat.

    Stir in soup mix and water.

    Heat to boiling.

    Reduce heat to low.

    Cook 10 minutes stirring occasionally.

    Arrange lettuce and tortilla chips on plates. Spoon hot meat mixture over chips.

    Top with tomatoes and cheese. Makes 6 servings.
