Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pinto or kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 (16 oz.) can corn, undrained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, plus 1 can water
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms (pieces and stems), undrained
  • 1 to 1 1/2 oz. pkg. taco seasoning
  • 2 tsp. chili powder

Directions

    In 3 or 4-quart kettle, lightly brown beef and onion.

    Stir in tomatoes, beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, mushrooms, plus taco and chili seasonings.

    Bring to a boil and simmer at least 45 minutes.
