  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
  • 1 pkg.(1.6 oz.) original Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressing mix, dry
  • 1 can (16 oz.) pinto beans, drained
  • 1 can (16 oz.) red beans, drained
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
  • 1 can (16 oz.) hominy, drained
  • 3 cans (16 oz. each) stewed tomatoes
  • 3 cans (16 oz. each) water
  • grated cheese for topping (optional)
  • sour cream for topping (optional)

Directions

    Brown beef with onions in Dutch oven.

    Add taco seasoning, salad dressing mix, beans, chilies, hominy, stewed tomatoes and water.

    Simmer 10 minutes.

    Serve with taco chips and top with sour cream and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
