Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
- 3/4 lb. ground round
- 2 1/2 c. stewed or regular canned tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. whole kernel corn
- 2/3 c. corn meal (yellow)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Heat oil in heavy skillet.

2Add onion and green pepper; cook over low heat until softened but not browned.

3Add ground round, spreading it over bottom of skillet.

4Continue cooking until meat is browned, stirring to brown evenly.

5Add remaining ingredients and place in greased baking dish.

6Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 1 hour.

7Serve with tomato sauce.

8Makes 6 servings.
