  • 2 c. white corn meal
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 6 c. water
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium sized onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. Williams chili mix
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions

    To prepare mush, bring 4 cups water and 2 teaspoons salt to a boil in a large soup pot.

    In a large bowl, add corn meal to 2 cups cold water; mix until smooth.

    Add this mixture to the boiling water and cook on medium heat until thick, about 10 minutes, stirring often.

    Cover with lid; cool only enough to handle it.
