- 3 c. water
- 1 c. cold water
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 c. canned tomatoes
- 2 pimentos, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
Directions

1In a saucepan, bring 3 cups water to a boil.

2Meanwhile, combine cold water, corn meal and 1 teaspoon salt.

3Pour into boiling water, stirring constantly.

4Cook until thickened, then cover and continue cooking 10 to 12 minutes.

5Stir occasionally. Start heating oven to 350°.

6Butter a 10-inch juice-saver pie plate.

7In large skillet, saute onion in butter until tender and golden.

8Add ground meat.

9Brown beef, stirring constantly with fork.
