Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 (12 oz.) can whole corn, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. corn meal
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 small can sliced ripe olives

Directions

    Brown meat, onion and green pepper in oil in large skillet or pot.

    Stir in tomatoes, corn, salt, chili powder and pepper. Let simmer for five minutes.

    Stir in the corn meal mixed with water. Cover and let simmer ten minutes.

    Add olives and turn into three-quart casserole.
