- 3/4 lb. ground chuck
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 rib celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 oz. can tomatoes
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder, divided
- 1 (16 oz.) can chili (no bean variety)
- 5 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- grated cheese or bits of Velveeta
Directions

1Brown meat; drain.

2Add onions, pepper, celery and garlic. Cook until they are wilted.

3Add tomatoes which have been cut in small pieces.

4Sprinkle on 2 tablespoons chili powder plus large can of chili.

5Simmer for 30 minutes.
