  • 7 Satoimo (taro root)
  • 7 slice Bacon
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Sake

Directions

    Peel the satoimo (taro root) and lightly wash. Microwave with a small amount of water to soften.

    Drain and roughly mash.

    Make 13-14 patties and wrap with bacon.

    Combine the ingredients.

    Turn on the heat to medium-low.

    Place the wraps joint-side down and fry without touching.

    When the bacon sticks to the satoimo, flip, and fry the other side the same way.

    Once the both sides are cooked, add the mixture of combined seasonings.

    Turn up the heat to medium and coat the wraps with the sauce.

    Fry until they become lustrous, then it's done.
