- 1 gal. (large) whole sour pickles
- sugar
- 1 heaping tsp. pickling spice
- 2 garlic cloves (leave whole)
- 4 Tbsp. tarragon vinegar
Directions

1Drain sour pickles; slice.

2Layer pickles in a large mixing bowl or crock with equal amounts of sugar (no juice).

3Place pickling spice, garlic and tarragon vinegar on top.

4Weigh down with a plate.

5Refrigerate for 3 days, stirring thoroughly, once a day (first time after 25 hours).

6At end of 3 or 4 days, put in clean jars (after removing garlic).
