- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cup fresh or frozen pitted tart cherries
- 1 tbsp cherry liqueur or cherry brandy
Directions

1In a medium saucepan stir together sugar and cornstarch; stir in water.

2Add cherries.

3Cook and stir constantly over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.

4Cook and stir for 2 more minutes.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in liqueur.

7Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream or favorite dessert.
