- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 cans milk
- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 5 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
Directions

1Combine water and milk; heat to simmer.

2Add the cornmeal, salt, sugar and butter; stir over medium heat until mixture is thickened, about 5 minutes.

3Remove from the heat.

4Beat the eggs with baking powder until they are very light and fluffy, then add to cornmeal mixture, mixing well.

5Pour into greased shallow baking dish.

6Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.

7Serve hot.
