  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 4 level tsp. baking powder (with plain flour)
  • flavoring (your choice)
  • 1 c. milk
  • flour (enough to form stiff dough, about 4 c.)

Directions

    Cream sugar and shortening together.

    Add eggs, one at a time, slightly beat.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Sift flour and add to batter like biscuit dough.

    Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet and bake in 350° oven until slightly brown. Use enough flour for rolling consistency or flour hands and roll into ball as you would a biscuit.
