  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • dash of salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat well.

    Add sifted dry ingredients until dough is stiff.

    Roll in wax paper and chill.

    Slice and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 400° for 10 minutes.
