- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 5 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- additional sugar
Directions

1Cream butter; gradually add 2 cups sugar, beating well.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Add milk and beat well.

4Gradually stir flour into creamed mixture.

5Stir in vanilla and nuts.

6Chill.

7On wax paper or plastic, shape the dough into a long tube shaped roll.

8Refrigerate overnight.

9Slice into rounds 1/4-inch thick.

10Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.

11Sprinkle with additional sugar.

12Bake at 400° for 7 to 8 minutes, or until edges are slightly brown.
