  • flour to make stiff dough (about 2 1/2 c.)
  • 3 heaping Tbsp. Crisco
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Beat sugar, Crisco and egg together. Add soda and baking powder to buttermilk and stir until it foams. Add to other mixture. Add vanilla and flour.
