- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

1Combine eggs, sugar, flour, shortening, milk and vanilla in large mixer bowl; beat well.

2Pour 3 tablespoons batter into each of 10 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans.

3Bake at 400° for 4 to 5 minutes or until light brown.

4Remove to wire racks to cool.

5Spread frosting between layers and over top of cake. Yield:
