Ingredients

  • 4 lb. chicken thighs and/or breast, skinned and deboned
  • 3/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 large garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 2 Tbsp. minced ginger root
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 anise seed

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, except chicken.

    Mix well until sugar is melted.

    Marinate meat in sauce for at least for 4 hours. Broil in oven until chicken is cooked thoroughly or grill on an outdoor grill.
