- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. chopped jalapeno peppers, seeded or use 1 can chopped green chilies
- 1 c. yellow self-rising corn meal mix
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake at 450° for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
