- 1 c. self-rising cornbread
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. skim milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can cream-style corn
Directions

1Heat oven to 450°.

2Grease an 8-inch square casserole. Combine cornmeal and cayenne pepper in a large bowl. Add onion, green pepper, cheese, milk, eggs and corn.

3Mix well. Spoon batter into casserole. Bake at 450° for 25 minutes or until golden. Cut into 2-inch squares.

4Makes 16 servings.
