Texas Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 to 5 lb. or so beef brisket
  • 1 can pop (Coke)
  • 1 jar chili sauce
  • 1/2 envelope onion soup mix

Directions

    Put roast in pan and cover with mixture of Coke, chili sauce and onion soup.

    Bake at 300° for 3 hours or until tender.

    Slice and pour sauce over roast.

    I cover the roasting pan with foil with small holes in it.

    I usually cook 2 at a time in a slow oven.

    It may take 4 hours or so.

    It's done when tender.
