  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo or Crisco
  • 4 to 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together the flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.

    In a saucepan, put the oleo or Crisco, cocoa and water. Bring to a boil.

    Pour over flour and sugar.

    Add the baking soda and vanilla.

    Mix and pour into greased 16 x 11-inch pan.

    Bake at 325°.
