- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 3 tsp. shortening
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 c. whole tomatoes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Mix ground beef, onion, chili powder, shortening and bell pepper all together.

2Add tomatoes and salt and pepper to taste. Place in baking dish.

3Top with uncooked rice.

4Add water.

5Cover with lid or aluminum foil.

6Bake for 45 minutes.
